The node is the building block
DroCa Guard is being developed as one modular system. Nodes share a common architecture, while sensing capabilities, mission roles and integrations adapt to the site. The basic household configuration uses four nodes. Larger configurations extend the same structure to different site and perimeter requirements.
One structure. Multiple use cases.
Households and commercial sites: A four-node household configuration with an app for live feeds, geofencing and missions. Local processing works with cloud support. The same architecture can be adapted to commercial sites with different node and sensing requirements. Household HaaS pricing target: $250 per year.
Government perimeters: Node 1 and Node 2 are flying government prototypes, with radar hardware on Node 1. The advanced configuration is being developed for perimeter and low-altitude threat detection, including fibre-optic-controlled drones, with on-site processing, encrypted communications and C2 integration. Up to 72 hours of unattended operation is a development target.
Sense. Understand. Respond.
The core capabilities combine sensing, hybrid AI recognition, autonomous flight and non-contact deterrence using presence, lights and sound. Node hardware and integrations adapt to the application, with operator oversight and stop controls.
The system, in hardware
Six prototypes are flying: four commercial and two government. Two operational U.S. units are FAA registered and undergoing supervised Part 107 testing. Available sensing hardware includes time-of-flight (TOF) sensors, passive infrared (PIR) sensors, microphones and radars. TOF sensing is active for 3D obstacle reading. In September 2026 detection, flight, handoff and non-contact deterrence were demonstrated as one sequence. Precision landing and return-to-dock remain in testing. Broader deployment, endurance and field-performance validation remain ahead.
A shared core. Adaptable capabilities.
Configurations build on the same node structure. Sensor selection, node layout and control interfaces are matched to the task. The commercial configuration uses an app with edge processing and cloud support; the government configuration is being developed for on-site data handling and existing C2 systems.
Developing the shared core
The first own-design PCB is targeted for October 2026, followed by units built around DroCa software and hardware by the end of 2026. A 100-aircraft field program is planned for 2027. A U.S. production line remains a longer-term goal. Provisional application #64/044,182, filed in April 2026, relates to a dual-purpose induction coil.
